Technology strategist in luxury and retail. DPP consultant. Former Head of Technology Innovation at Richemont. Based in Geneva.
"Bridging luxury heritage and frontier technology to design the systems of the intelligence era."
Pedro López-Belmonte is a technology strategist operating at the intersection of emerging technology and executive decision-making in luxury and retail.
For over twelve years at Richemont — home to Cartier, Vacheron Constantin, IWC and other Maisons — he led technology innovation initiatives focused on digital identity, blockchain, and product traceability, helping secure centuries-old legacies while preparing them for a new digital paradigm.
His DPP programme at Richemont is one of the most significant blockchain-native deployments in the luxury sector — spanning watches, jewellery, fashion, gold and gemstones across multiple Maisons since 2018. His work spans strategy, architecture, vendor evaluation, and full programme deployment.
Today he is Chief Product Officer for VersAI at Zilliqa Group, where he leads the development of next-generation agentic and immersive experiences for luxury and retail. The move from running a DPP programme inside a Maison group to building the products that sit on top of one is deliberate: it keeps his strategic frameworks tested against what actually ships, at the frontier of AI and commerce.
Pedro's approach is strategic and deeply pragmatic, grounded in execution. He defines the why and the how, aligns technology with business priorities, and drives implementation from concept to production. He is not a commentator on emerging technologies: he has led frontier technology deployments inside global luxury groups, translating vision into operational systems at scale.
